Suona ridicolo, forse. E splendide.

It may sound odd. But at times it’s really just a matter of details: like the three green stripes that stand out against the lateral upper of these adidas Rom’s dating from the late Sixties, which marked a difference with the more common blue-striped version. Easy therefore to explain the reason of such a high quotation on the vintage market – about $700, almost twice than 5 or 6 years ago. A price that may be compared to some running Nike of the subsequent decade, also easily accounted for: these Rom’s are very beautiful, a real work of art and beside that you can really use them, after 40 years from their release. Constructive quality and durability that cannot be replicated nowadays: the shoes that today prompt sudden and crazy shocks in the market – like Nike Air Foamposite and Air Yeezy 2 – will be but a pile of dust in half a century, whereas we bet these Rom’s will still be in perfect shape. And still marvelous.
